Lorde drops new track, Solar Power

After a devastatingly long hiatus from music (four bloody years!) LORDE returned to our ears with Solar Power, a blissful summer track that one could totally describe as Primal Scream for girls who wear American Apparel skirts. Produced by JACK ANTONOFF (yep, he is getting passed around like a zoot by the pop girlies) the song also features backing vocals from PHOEBE BRIDGERS and CLAIRO… I mean it’s all we could ask for really. WELCOME BACK LORDE!

 

808s & IRINA SHAYK
Kanye West and Irina Shayk ‘firm it

Following his estrangement from wife KIMMY K, KANYE WEST confirmed romance rumours with Russian supermodel IRINA SHAYK this week when the pair were spotted together in Provence, France for Kanye’s birthday. Yep, *Nadine Coyle voice* making him a Gemini. Will Yeezy and Ms Shayk last? A plot development I enjoyed was Kanye unfollowing Kim and all her sisters on Twitter after the spotting, as it goes to prove no matter who you are, men will always behave like sixth-formers.

 

UH, GREAT GOWNS, BEAUTIFUL GOWNS
Central Saint Martins BA Fashion Show

I mean I suppose the annual CSM BA Fashion Show is like the Olympics of art school, what made this year’s shows extra special however is that it was IRL! A personal highlight is that the runway was set up outside the infamous Saint Martin’s smoking area, a.k.a Kings Cross Waitrose because do you even have a CSM degree if you never smoked a cig outside ‘trose?

 

HOT IRISH MAN GETS RECOGNITION
Paul Mescal wins ‘Best Actor’ at BAFTAs

My neighbour won a BAFTA last Sunday, but you might just know him as Paul Mescal (#rip his Instagram account). The star of BBC’s Normal People soothed our lockdown randiness last summer with his breakthrough role. The Irish hottie, whose single gold chain inspired a VERY horny stan account, picked up ‘Best Actor’ - hopefully meaning we’ll be seeing Mister Mescal booked and busy for the year ahead.

 

MARRYING THE NIGHT AND FEELING A FEELING
London Grammar’s new music video and Kylie Minogue covers GAGA!

At last LONDON GRAMMAR released the music video to their ethereal summer track Lord It’s a Feeling, undoubtedly one to slot in with any moodboard this month and beyond starring Sakeema Peng Crook. Meanwhile KYLIE MINOGUE covered LADY GAGA’S Marry The Night and it’s POP PERFECTION! I kid you not I cried in Marks & Spencer whilst listening to this for the first time, I felt so ALIVE.
